There are people who take photographs. And then there are people like Brigitta, who somehow manage to hand you back a version of yourself you had not fully seen before.
Working with her was unlike any photographic experience I have ever had. Yes, the images themselves are extraordinary. Elegant, playful, powerful, occasionally slightly unhinged in the most delightful way… and technically excellent throughout. But what Brigitta creates goes far beyond photography.
She creates safety.
Not the kind that makes you smaller or careful. No, she creates the kind of safety that gives you permission to take up space fully. To experiment. To laugh loudly. To be seen without performing.
Even virtually, through a screen, she has an astonishing ability to co-create with you rather than simply direct you. She notices everything. The smallest shift in expression, posture, energy, or mood. There were moments during the shoot where her unexpected prompts made me laugh out loud, genuinely and uncontrollably, and somehow those moments became some of the most compelling images of all.
What struck me most deeply is that Brigitta does not flatten people into “personal brands.” She sees identity. Complexity. Contradiction. Presence. She understands that the most compelling images are not manufactured perfection, but recognisable truth.
You see, the generosity that she brought to the entire experience moved me profoundly. The care, detail, artistry, humour, intuition, and love she that poured into the process and the editing are visible in every single image.
These photographs will remain become part of the visible architecture of my work and legacy. And honestly? That feels incredibly special.
